The 14th day of July 2017 was a usual but special Friday in China. Clock was pointing at 22:30, the night went deep and dusk has already faded for a couple of hours. But the heat never seems to be diminished.
Those endeavored ones were still studying at the desk. Iatrology never allowed a tiny little sloppiness. Serving patients requires atomic efforts by medical staff.
Suddenly, a message broke the silence. “JIHUA Orthopedic Rehabilitation Hospital (Referred to as JIHUA hereafter) gained three-year CARF accreditation! This is not only a reward for those who have fought for more than a year but also a surprise to those people that struggled so much from self-learning!”
JIHUA has become both the first private tier-two rehabilitation hospital that gained CARF accreditation and the first private hospital that Okeway successfully assisted. Congratulations!
At that moment, both JIHUA and Okeway were sharing happiness together and social medias were seethed with excitement. God knows how many people couldn’t go to sleep because of it.
>> How does the story begin?
Before answering
this question, let us first review JIHUA’s accreditation process.
However, assisting
a private medical institution to get an international accreditation will
eventually meet some problems and obstacles. In the whole process, the team
from Okeway including General Manager Cai, came multiple times to the hospital
for on-site investigation and guidance. Apart from the huge efforts made by staff
in JIHUA and Okeway, support from those experts were also very important. In
the summer and autumn in 2016, both Professor Li and head nurse Juan Jin
visited JIHUA back and forth to give directions. November 2016, CARF officer Chris
visited JIHUA and fully acknowledged the result that hospital has accomplished.
She even encouraged JIHUA to advance with big strides on the road to quality
improvement.
December 2016,
JIHUA officially applied for CARF accreditation. Meanwhile chemical reactions with
the standards was increasing day by day. Everything was growing positively to
benefit patients, the hospital and the rehabilitation system. Everyone felt the
happiness and contentment brought by the reformation and personal growth.
From June12th to 14th, 2017, JIHUA received the on-site survey by CARF surveyors.
They faced it with hundredfold confidence and received a high degree of
evaluation.
July 14th 2017, at the very time of America’s Independence Day, headquarters of CARF approved report from surveyor with high efficiency. They decided to officially grant JIHUA Orthopedic Rehabilitation a three-year accreditation, which is the highest level of honor of CARF accreditation. Chris even send a congratulation letter at first time.

Readers might ask.
JIHUA Orthopedic Rehabilitation spent so much efforts, what did they get?
Dean Jiang told us
proudly: Our hospital is full of patients!
Operation data is
one of the most important things for every single hospital, having a 100%
occupancy rate can be said as a dream shared by every Deans. But of course,
numbers are only the result, the real value stands behind the numbers. Through
developments over a year, by optimizing management system and reconstructing rehabilitation
service process, doctors, therapists and nurses in JIHUA improved their way of
taking care of a patient, they learned the value behind teamwork. Patients in
JIHUA experienced respect and participation that hardly exist in the rest of
Chinese hospitals. Most importantly, they got a result from rehabilitation that
can be proved by data from evaluations!
In Dean Jiang’s words: CARF accreditation helped enhance the
value of patients, hospitals and societies, it is an important instrument for
helping rehabilitation to develop soundly.
If it is true, of
course it will be bustling.
Tier-two rehabilitation hospitals are the main part of rehabilitation organizations in China. Tons of new-built, reformed or deposited tier-two rehabilitation organizations are experiencing rapid transformations, social capital, is no doubt one of the biggest reasons to that. But while everybody else is seeking for a positive public reputation, industry status or government relations, the success from JIHUA obviously opened a big window to luminosity for all.
Recalling from
when First People’s hospital of Shanghai got accredited in 2014 to today,
Okeway have assisted lots of different hospitals in Shanghai, Nanjing, FuZhou,
NingBo, Taipei etc. CARF accreditation are being well known by the crowd and
services from Okeway are continuously being recognized.
For wise managers,
they know that professional stuff need professional people to perform. Okeway, being
the only authorized service agency in China, is not only familiar with the
standards but also aware of national conditions. Okeway can settle
the gap between different hospitals and the standard of CARF effectively,
making sure that every single improvement actually has its own meaning to the
hospital rather than only copying and just doing jobs on the surface.
In the whole consultation process, Okeway become right-hand man to leaders of the hospital, inspiring changes to bring into more economic benefit. Choosing Okeway means to save the hospitals’ economic costs and most importantly saving the time. Choose Okeway on your road to CARF, is surely best choice that leaders of different rehabilitation organizations can make.
Vice Dean of JIHUA
Orthopedic Rehabilitation Hospital Yang Xuefeng gave Okeway calligraphy: The
spring breeze is tolerant to embrace all things and feelings. Wording and
speech is like autumn water, free of worldly dust. (In Chinese:春風(fēng)大雅能容物,秋水文章不染塵)
Dean Yang is one of the members of Chinese Calligraphers Association. His calligraphy is ponderable and rare.
